- The Defender® Thistle® Gutter Spike fits all standard modern gutters and hoppers, like this
- If they have a thick lip, are made of cast iron or have an ornate design on the front edge, it could cause stress to the clip. In this case we would recommend using silicone and installing Defender Thistle on the top edge instead
- This low-profile gutter spike has 3 clips attached, one at either end and one in the middle. The clips slip over the outer front edge of the guttering, whilst holding the Defender® strip centrally above the gutter, just above the bottom so allowing for free flow of rain water underneath.
- Each strip has an impenetrable pattern of 80 pins which fan out, making it impossible for all birds to land or nest. The pins are only half the height of standard spikes at 62 mm high, so once installed, they are virtually invisible from the ground.
