Ledge Protection
Defender® 8 Wide Plastic Bird and Pigeon Spikes will protect a depth of ledge up to 20 cm (8 inches). If the ledge is wider, you can just add a second row of spikes, leaving as small a gap as possible between the tops of the pins.

Strip Length
The Defender® 8 Plastic Anti-roosting Pigeon Spike is 33.4 cm (13 inches) in length. Three strips of Pigeon Spikes will cover 1 metre. Unlike most other spikes available, the Defender® 8 Wide Plastic Pigeon Spikes have an extra two rows of pins that are angled outwards, making it impossible for birds or pigeons to land from whichever direction they might approach.
Humane Plastic Pigeon Spikes
All the Defender® Bird and Pigeon Spikes are a humane method of bird control. The bird spikes make it uncomfortable for birds or pigeons to land, without injuring them. They will then move on to other roosting or nesting sites.

Special note:
- These spikes are for protection against pigeons and similar size birds.
- DO NOT use these if you have problems with smaller birds such as sparrows, starlings etc. Use our Defender Thistle or similar product.
